EU Representative & Head of Office, CARE International
Céline Mias has over 24 years of experience in leading humanitarian and development NGO programmes and advocacy across Europe, Africa and Asia. Since 2013 she has been EU Representative and Director of the Brussels office of CARE International, an organization working around the globe to save lives, defeat poverty and achieve social justice. She has also held the role of Vice President of the Board of CONCORD Europe
since 2018. In March 2022, Céline was seconded to the CARE International Ukraine team, where she established partnerships with a range of Ukrainian NGOs and led creation of a gender in emergencies programme as key components of CARE’s
humanitarian response. Céline is a French national, and holds a Master’s degree in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelor’s degree in History and Russian from McGill University.
