The Ambrela Development Forum (ADF), organized annually by the Slovak Platform for Development Organizations Ambrela, provides a unique platform for addressing global challenges and reimagining international partnerships through high-level discussions and interactive workshops. As the only event of its kind in Central and Eastern Europe, the ADF International Conference brings together more than 200 participants from around 20 countries each year. The next edition, ADF 2026, will take place on 1–2 October 2026 in Bratislava, Slovakia. The registration is already open.

To ensure that ADF remains at the forefront of global development dialogue, the conference is guided by its International Advisory Board (IAB) – an honorary body of distinguished experts and thought leaders who provide strategic insight, foresight, partnerships, and international visibility. The IAB plays a key role in shaping the conference agenda, identifying speakers, strengthening donor engagement, and positioning ADF among leading international development forums. We are delighted to welcome Andrea Najvirtova as a member of the #ADF2026 International Advisory Board.

Andrea Najvirtová serves as Executive Director of People in Peril Slovakia and is a member of the Presidency of the Slovak Platform for Development Organizations – Ambrela. Between 2017 and 2019, she led People in Peril’s Humanitarian Aid and Development Cooperation Department. Prior to that, she spent a decade in the Balkans working with civil society organizations and the OSCE Mission in Kosovo. Her professional experience has focused on promoting minority participation, education and language rights, as well as fostering inter-ethnic dialogue and cooperation.

Andrea has been closely associated with the ADF Conference since its inception, contributing as a distinguished speaker at every edition held in Bratislava. Throughout the years, she has shared valuable insights on the future of humanitarian action and international development cooperation, enriching the conference with her extensive field experience and strategic perspective.

We are honoured that Andrea will continue her engagement with ADF in this new capacity as a member of the IAB. Her expertise, leadership, and long-standing commitment to humanitarian and development challenges will be invaluable in shaping ADF 2026 and advancing a conference that promotes meaningful dialogue, innovative thinking, and impactful partnerships.
