The Warmth For Ukraine (Teplo pre Ukrajinu) campaign and fundraising appeal was created as a direct response to the energy terror that leaves entire cities in Slovakia’s eastern neighbor without light, heat, and water. The campaign was launched by the Embassy of Ukraine in the Slovak Republic in cooperation with the Donio Non-Investment Fund, the Ambrela platform, and other partner organizations from the civil sector (Integra Foundation, Post Bellum SK, Mier Ukrajine / Peace in Ukraine, People in peril / Človek v ohrozeni, Pontis Foundation, All4Ukraine, ADRA Slovakia, Heart with Ukraine, and the Open Society Foundation).
The organizations involved are responding together where survival is literally at stake – quickly, purposefully, and in cooperation with local governments. Russia is deliberately attacking Ukraine’s energy and heating infrastructure in the winter. Not by chance. At temperatures as low as -20°C, a power outage is an immediate threat to life. Ukrainian energy workers are working around the clock, often under fire, to rebuild what is being destroyed over and over again. In 2025 alone, Russia used approximately 2,000 missiles and more than 54,000 drones against Ukraine, with a large portion of the attacks targeting energy.

The enemy is returning to the same places – repairs are turning into an endless battle. Donations from the current campaign Warmth for Ukraine collection will provide: electricity and heat for residential buildings; support for hospitals, schools, crisis centers, and public services; creation of a basic energy infrastructure for cities and towns during outages;and transportation of generators to Ukraine.
Generators are today one of the fastest and most effective ways to help people survive the winter. The Warmth For Ukraine initiative wants to raise 500,000 euros to purchase generators, thanks to the generous people of Slovakia, who have been actively showing solidarity with their eastern neighbor for four years. They can immediately help where the situation is most critical. The aid will be directed to the most affected areas (Kyiv, Zaporizhia, Dnipro, Chernihiv, Sumy and Sumy region) always according to current needs in cooperation with regional and local governments.
