Vice-President, Polish Humanitarian Action, PAH
Grzegorz Gruca is the Vice-President of the Polish Humanitarian Action. He obtained a degree in sociology from the Catholic Theological Academy in 1993. From 1990 to 1997 he was executive manager and consultant to various companies. From 1993 to 1995 he served as Coordinator for non-governmental organizations and was in charge of cooperation with the Liaison Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees in Warsaw. In in 2003, he was appointed to the Prime Minister’s Advisory Board on EU membership. He is also a member of the Polish Fundraising Society. In 2011, he was awarded the Bene Merito distinction by the Minister of Foreign Affairs for his work promoting Poland abroad. He is a Board member of Grupa Zagranica, a platform combining Polish NGOs. As a board member of the Polish Humanitarian Action, he is responsible for partnerships. In past he has participated in establishing PAH missions in Iraq, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka.
