Hillary Cheruiyot’s passion is dedicated to improving the standards of living of smallholder farmers in different value chains, and he is relentless in seeking innovative solutions to propel their economic progress on aspects of food systems security. As the Program Officer at Eastern Africa Farmers Federation, he places the needs and interests of farmers atthe heart of decision-making, adopting a farmer-centric approach with a more focus on technological adoption and innovation uptake.
With extensive expertise working with different partners on services to the farmers towards enhancement sustainability in agriculture, and through of a gender and youth inclusive approach, Hillary leverages his experience to explore opportunities that empower small-scale farmers to thrive and contribute to food security and economic services. Having implemented projects funded by different donors; EU, WorldBank, IFAD, AGRA, We Effect, BMG among other along agriculture initiatives forms a basis of the contribution to food systems discussions. His 10+ years of experience in operations and project management, in research, operations and the development sector equip him with the skills to coordinate the delivery of strategic value propositions effectively.
Hillary is committed to contributing to food systems and sustainable agriculture through agri-innovations that lead to better and resilient communities that could bring positive impact and create more value for the agricultural rural communities.
