Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic
Jiří Kozák is political scientist by training and he has been working as the Lecturer at the CEVRO Institute in Prague. He spent a part of his career as the director of the foundation CEVRO, devoting his time to political education and the democracy assistance in Czech Republic as well as on the international scene. He has lectured in many countries on human rights, political education and building of political parties and systems. He was also the member of the steering committee of the European Network of Political Foundations (ENoP). He is the author and co-editor of The Memory of Nations – Democratic Transition Guide, one of the largest comparative studies of democratic transitions in thirteen countries. Prior to assuming his current position, he served as the Secretary of the Foreign Affairs Policy Team of Civic Democratic Party (ODS), and the member of Election Campaign Team of the SPOLU coalition.
