Deputy Head of Mission for Programs – LEBANON, Première Urgence Internationale (PUI)
Kevin Charbel is a humanitarian professional with experience from various contexts in the Middle East. He set up a successful education project in a community of Syrian refugees in southern Lebanon and worked as a humanitarian advisor to a community organization in conflict areas in northern Syria. He worked as an Area Programmes Director for an INGO in Syria, establishing, developing and upscaling programmes in Livelihoods, WASH/Shelter, Education, and Food Security where he was responsible for developing innovative ways to safely reach vulnerable people living in front-line areas with humanitarian support. Currently he is the Deputy Head of Mission in Lebanon for a Premiere Urgence Internationale, one of the most prominent actors in Health programming in country. Kevin’s academic background is in international law, concentrating on international humanitarian law and human rights law. Kevin also worked outside the humanitarian sector, serving as Head of Policy & Programs in an international political federation where he led programmes supporting civil society in the MENA region.
