Project Assistant at Caritas Slovakia and the founder of the United for Help NGO
Marek Janiga is a Project Assistant at Caritas Slovakia, working on building artesian wells in the region of Iraqi Kurdistan, supported by the SlovakAid program. He is also a founder of the NGO „Spolu pomáhať-United for Help“ which focuses mostly on coordinating humanitarian efforts in Ukraine. He is currently studying law at the University of Strasbourg. As a student senator, Janiga advocated for an open academic discussion on the topic of the controversial Criminal Code reform. In recognition of his efforts to support democratic values, Janiga was awarded the Fair Act of the Year 2023.
