Researcher, CASE Research, Poland
Oskar Chmiel is Specialist in Social Sciences at the Center for Social and Economic Research (CASE) where he works on projects concerning international development cooperation, migration, and labour markets. Currently, he is also completing his PhD in Political Science at the Chair of European Studies at the University of Wroclaw, and the focus of his studies is European Union (EU) – Africa relations. Oskar is an author of several publications, including
academic articles, book chapters, reports, and other studies, focused on the EU external policies on development cooperation, trade, and migration. He holds an MA and BA in European Studies from the University of Wroclaw. Prior to joining CASE, Oskar gained
experience working, among others, as Visiting Researcher at the German Development Institute (DIE), Visiting Fellow at the European University Institute (EUI) and the Historical Archives of the European Union (HAEU).
