Oskar CHMIEL

Specialist in Social Sciences at the Center for Social and Economic Research (CASE)

Oskar Chmiel is Specialist in Social Sciences at the Center for Social and Economic Research (CASE) where he works on policy-oriented research projects concerning international development cooperation, migration, trade, and labour markets. He holds a PhD in Social Sciences with a specialization in Political Science from the University of Wroclaw. Furthermore, he is particularly interested in European Union (EU) – Africa relations. Prior to joining CASE, Oskar gained experience working, among others, as a PhD Candidate and lecturer at the University of Wroclaw, a Visiting Researcher at German Institute of Development and Sustainability – IDOS, a research intern at the University of Granada, an intern at the Polish Centre for African Studies, an intern at the Istanbul Gelisim University, and a Visiting Fellow at the European University Institute and the Historical Archives of the European Union in terms of Vibeke Sørensen Grant.
