Regional Director for Eastern Partnership and Balkans, People in Need
Petr Drbohlav is a humanitarian and development professional with more than 17 years of experience in the sector. He is currently working with People in Need (PIN) as Regional Director for Eastern Partnership and Balkans, having served in the past in a similar role in Asia. Petr’s previous long-term deployments in the field include Afghanistan, Ethiopia, Sri Lanka and Myanmar, in the latter two as the Country Director. Petr holds PhD degree from the Czech University of Life Sciences having focused his research on land issues in Southeast Asia. He earned his Master Degree in International Politics and Diplomacy from the University of Economics, Prague. His areas of interest include strengthening civil society, participatory governance, rural development, climate change/renewable energies and humanitarian-development-peace nexus. Petr travels extensively to the countries of his responsibility, freshly having returned from Ukraine where PIN belongs among the leading humanitarian agencies.
